Term4 Week3 Right Or Wrong?
The emissary walked along the cold street. He is working on a case, one that hadn’t been solved for a long time. Suddenly there was a commotion at the store down the lane. There were shouting which sounded like commands. He quickened his pace, planning to investigate what was happening. Grabbing his revolver in one hand, he took a step forward and glanced into the store. What he saw appalled him. A brigand was holding onto a pistol and pointing its barrel at the head of the shopkeeper. Without any delays, the shopkeeper was stuffing all the cash in the cash register in to a black sack. In a matter of minutes, the brigand was out of the store, heading towards the direction of the emissary. The brigand took a look at the hand of the emissary, who is grabbing a revolver. In a state of panic, the brigand drew out his pistol. The emissary halted in his move to draw out his revolver. The face of the brigand looked very familiar. It was as if he knew him. Suddenly, a picture flashed across his mind. The man in the picture looked similar to the one standing right before him. He drew revolver, out and commanded the brigand to get down on his knees. Without moving an inch, the brigand stood in his position, ready to puncture the emissary’s skull with a bullet. “There is no way you can run away from here. Now get down on your knees,” the emissary hollered. “I will give you this black sack, let me go. I do not want to kill anymore innocent people,” the brigand pleaded. The emissary noticed the brigand was actually wearing raiment that was almost torn into half. “Let me go! Or else I will shoot,” the brigand shouted. It could be seen that the brigand was in an emotional state and the emissary was getting nervous too. “Your wistful, thinking now get down on your knees,” the emissary commanded. The sirens of police cars could be heard down the silent street. The brigand was looking very helpless. Without much resistance, he gave into the police. Before he was led away to the police car, he told the emissary, “All I wanted to do with the money was to pay my daughter’s medical bills.” when the police cars went off, the emissary stood there in silence, not sure whether what he had done was right…
Term4 Week2 Unfortunate
The tribe carried on with its carnage. Screams and shouts could be heard, and the merciless tribesmen finished one village after another, causing a deluge of blood heading towards the river. The tribesmen reputed that the constant flooding at their own village was the cause that the river monster is angry and craving for human blood. The frail victims were killed while the stronger ones became slaves. This massacre was caused by the tribesmen’s witch who told the village chief the canard that the river monster is angry that he wants human blood. The profuse amount of blood from the killings dyed the whole ground red and when the evening sun shone brightly, the killings continued, with no interferences by the authorities. The villagers of the villages which the tribesmen have yet to reach huddled in their huts hopping that the tribesmen will just get pass their village without spotting them.

The conman replied, “I have not rendered my service but if you don't mind..."Johnny fished out a fifty dollar note and stuffed it into the conman's hands.” now, tell me what happened," Johnny commanded. The insidious conman spoke slowly and calmly, like he was tempting a fish to get onto his bait. Before going to the climax of the conversation, the conman again, looked at Johnny’s wallet. Feeling irritated, Johnny gave the conman another fifty dollar note. “This was how she was captured,” the conman replied, finishing his piece. “So, the kidnappers are these two guys in the picture?"Johnny asked to substantiate what the conman had said just now. “Yes, yes these are the two guys. She is so fortunate to have such a good guy like you, but before I leave, can I..."the conman curry favoured Johnny and at the same time looked at Johnny’s wallet again. Johnny fished out a hundred dollar note, gave it to the conman and left. A call came, Johnny picked up the phone in a calm manner. The voice over the phone said, “So, got any information? I noticed you kept giving him money." Johnny replied slowly and steadily, "I suppose what he said just now was a pack of lies, and no worries, doubt he will be able to use the cash I gave him. It is all bogus."

Term3 Week9 Studies
The clique of friends mentored each other studies regularly and thus it helped to improve their results. The teacher extol them on their great improvement but elucidate that even though it is a compliment, she does not wish the students be too proud and stop studying using this method. Sometimes studying may be vapid, but it will do us good in future. It would be fatuous for the students to give up on using this method to study.

Term3 Week8 A Pack of Lies
Being told the saga of the man who saved the village from the disastrous flood, everybody who heard the story wept, thinking about the man's great sacrifice. Just as the storyteller finished, he gave a turpitude grin. If he had not spun this story, he would not have been able to buy himself a meal later that day. He praised himself for being so capable. Just as he was about to get his ill-gotten gains from those who listened to his stories, the wise old sage of the village approached the crowd. All present at the area halted in their footsteps, gave a bow, still maintaining their demeanor, waited for his next action quietly. The storyteller froze in his steps. Never have he ever thought that the sage of the village would arrive. There was nowhere to run now.
Having been famously known for his intelligence and knowing the history of the village at his fingertips, the sage gains the respect of all in the village.
The first sentence from the sage gave a shock to everyone. Being there to redress what the storyteller had said, he flayed at the storyteller ruthlessly for deceiving the mass with his story.
There was no way he can hide himself from the glares of those who had just believed his pack of lies. Enraged by this matter, the crowd drove the storyteller out of the village, with the storyteller never to return again.

Discurssive Essay Beauty
Beauty, in my opinion, has a great range, from those of appearance to what is inside every person, their character. Nowadays, most people look at what is of the appearance but not of the character, judging from the rise in the number of plastic surgery cases with the intention of beautifying oneself when he or she is already of average looking. Debate centers on whether beauty in terms of appearance or beauty in terms of the character of a person is more important in today’s society.
Beauty in terms of appearance is quite important to leave a good impression on others like applying for a job or doing anything that needs the appearance of the person to be good, like being an actor or actress or a salesperson. The rise in the number of plastic surgery cases for people who have average looks shows that the view of the society of beautiful is most of the time about appearance. Most of the time, the media uses people who are beautiful in appearance to advertise products for them so as to attract the audiences to purchase their product. Thus if people who wants to have an easier life in today’s society needs beautiful appearances as this is what the people nowadays look for most of the time.
Beauty in terms of character is important because a person with good character means that he or she is able to discipline himself or herself, knows how others feel and do not do anything to hurt others. They are people who will help build a safe and conducive environment. The appearance of the person may not be very good but because of the good character, it will cover over the appearances and thus in the end people with good character will eventually have good appearances.
Beauty in terms of character most of the time is more important than beauty in terms of appearances because people who have good appearances, even if they do things which are said to be bad, they will still be arrested and charged. Even though they are good looking and may have had some leeway in some way or another when they did bad things, they will sooner or later still have justice done upon them if they do not have good character. Thus those who have good character but only just average appearances will be those who are most welcomed in the end rather then those who are beautiful in their appearances but with bad character. With beauty on character, they will most probably have a smoother life path than others who do not as whatever they do will not get them into trouble.
Those people who are good in appearances will not last long in whatever they do but only those with good character will they be able to survive in the rough journey of life. Thus, beauty in character should be the primary option and beauty in appearance the secondary.

Term3 Week5 What sems to be wrong may not turn out to be what it seems to be
John grew up in penury and every since he was three, he started to take up art as a form of earning extra income for the household. With this continuous practicing of drawing made him an expert in art and in the end, he was the empire’s greatest artist. Being a candid and compassionate person, he was very welcomed by almost anyone. His fame spread far and wide throughout the whole empire. The emperor heard about his great name and ordered that his name to be spread far and wide to every household.
There was this man who was so jealous of John’s achievement that he one day went up to John, and said proudly and vehemently, “I have heard that you have great paintings, but I don’t really think yours are. I want to have a competition with you. You and me, each shall make a painting each and submit it to the emperor and the one who has the better painting shall be crowned the best artist, do you dare to take up the challenge?” “I want no fame or even the status of the empire’s greatest artist, but if you would like a competition, let’s have a friendly one,” John said humbly.
The man, whom requested for the competition, was no artist. He had never handled a paintbrush before. His plan was to hire artists all over the empire with his riches to help him out. As for John, he started work on the competition as soon as the man left. He was going to do his best and with no one’s help.
As both parties competed, the emperor had news about this competition and gave his support. The dateline for the drawing was a month later at the emperor’s palace. Supporters of John motivated him to do his best and did what they could to motivate him. Some brought him food while others gave him support by just looking at what he is drawing.
As the supporters of John had expected, the man who had initiated the competition, hired man to attempt to ruin John’s artwork but failed. Unfortunately, the day before the dateline, John gave his finishing touches to his painting, but was set fire upon in the middle of the night. John had woken up and extinguishes the fire, but the painting was damaged partly by the fire. He could do nothing else but to brig it for competition the next day.
The big day arrived and everyone was high in mood. Both competitors reached the palace with a whole lot of supporters, going for the judgment by the emperor. As the emperor arrived, both artists took down the white cloth covering the painting. Everybody was shocked. John’s painting had been burnt. The emperor was appalled by what he had seen before him. He had never seen any painting like that. He asked what had happened to the painting and John replied, “last night, the painting was set fire upon and I was just in time to extinguish it before it had the chance to ruin the whole painting.” hearing that, the emperor, announced the winner, John!
It was not out of pity that he got the award but because the fire had made the painting look more appealing and attractive. The man who had competed with John lost and went home ignominious. As for John, it was a blessing in disguise.

Term3 Week3 The Pitiful
He was sited near the abandoned construction site, with a thick pile of disheveled hair laid on top of his egg shaped head. Looking around him lazily, he looked as if he was tired of living. He leaned back against the pillar behind him, giving a grimace to anyone who looked at him. His unkempt clothes were torn and his pants, so worn out that it looked as if it was going to be a pair of shorts. With only a pittance amount of bread left, he nibbled them slowly, hoping that a Good Samaritan would rescue him quickly, before his supply of bread ran out.

June Holidays Journal 4 Have you ever wondered...
Have you ever wondered if you would be one of the great philosophers, thinkers, inventors, scientist, researcher, war hero or a minister? There is surely someone out there who would be needed to fill up these places and most people would think that it would not be them but others but have you ever thought that you are actually the one and not the others. If everybody were going think that the great achievement would not be his or hers, whose would it be then? In the past, I have always thought that I am not able to achieve great things and that it is other people but one day I thought, maybe I am the one, maybe it is not the others but me. Everybody stands an equal chance if they worked hard no matter how talented others are when they are born. If one is willing, even people with inborn talents may lose to them. You might be a couch potato but one day you might be the media industry’s director, you may be watching war shows all day long but one day you might become a war hero provided that there is a war to fight or if you day dream all day long, you may one day become a great inventor or thinker. From what I have said just now, it does not mean that by being a couch potato all day will make you a media industry director but because of the passion to watch shows, you will have ideas to make the media more interesting and by putting them to use, you will be able to achieve great. You might be an ordinary person now but when you grow up, you might be someone, which you think you could never have been.
June Holidays Journal 3 Once upon a time
Once upon a time, there was a governor named Bootlicker while another named hardworking. Both of them were in conflicts every time they meet as their names tell. Bootlicker bootlicks those who were high in authority, hoping to be able to get promoted quickly without doing anything much while hardworking dislike pulling strings, curry favouring and also bootlicking to achieve something but like to do things depending on his real capability.
Since the times then were quite chaotic, Bootlicker rose up in authority in a short time and was higher ranking then hardworking. Fearing that hardworking may one day be higher ranking then him, he made things difficult for hardworking, trying to make him resign from his job because of intense stress. Hardworking was hardworking and thus was able to cope with that tremendous amount of work Bootlicker gave to him. Knowing that hardworking could be quite hard to get rid of, he decided to from alliance with him, getting him to stand on the same side as he is as such a strong opponent turned friend will be a great help to him. Even thought hardworking know that it would be very beneficial for him to secure his post as a governor, but he knew that someday the good would prevail the evil and thus continued to work hard.
One day, Bootlicker was flattering an official when the king then, made a surprise visit to Bootlicker’s house. Bootlicker’s house was in the making of a transaction with one of the most notorious and wanted pirate then, trading a hundred chests of gold and jewellery with the pirate. Seeing that the kind had seen what he was doing, Bootlicker knelt down right away and seeks for forgiveness. He pleaded the king and pleaded for mercy. Holding onto a stern face, the king spoke, “you! How dare you do this? You are an official, and you are the model example of the people. What if the people learnt about it? What will they think of us? I shall punish you severely for taking the risk. The punishment is, to send me thirty chests of the gold and jewellery to my palace right away.” The official who did not know that all the while he was surrounded by so many precious items demanded some too. Bootlicker acceded to their request and the king’s men helped in the escort of the chests to the pirate ship, palace and the official’s residence.
When hardworking learnt about it. He was very furious. He was stomping mad. He was determined to have all including the king punished for what they had done, even though he do not have the power to do so. He collaborated with a few of the officials who were same as him, justified and full of integrity and they pledged that they will ensure that justice is uphold at all times.
Not sure what was the problem but the king came down with a weird illness ad the king’s physician had no ways to cure it. Not long after, the king passed on and had his throne to his child. His child was different from his father. He was upright and had the people’s welfare at heart. He was determined, just like hardworking and company, to up hold justice throughout his whole kingdom. Even though he grew up by using the things, which his father had obtained from his wrong doings, the new king was a good ruler.
With the common goal as the king, hardworking and company was able to overthrow those officials who abused their power and bootlicked. Thus Bootlicker was thrown out of his post and hardworking had finally achieved what he had always wanted. Good life for the people and justice to be uphold throughout the kingdom.

June Holidays Journal 2 What we do affects us in one way or another?
What we do affects us in one way or another? In my opinion, it is true. No matter what we do, it will affect us surely. An example is that if you hit someone in the face, the person will naturally be angry and hit you back or hit others to vent out that anger. If he hit you back, it means it got passed back to you, but if he hit others, the person who was hit by the person you hit will certainly do something to vent his anger and that will continue to affect people. If he kept it inside himself, he will naturally feel uneasy and this may cause him to behave differently from normal and the people around him would be puzzled or even worry the people around him and that is how it affects others. Hence in one way or another, it will surely get back at you. Thus we should try to do things with careful thought. It may sound ridiculous but what you are doing or have done at one part of the earth may affect another who is at another part. What bad you have done will be done back to that person and what good that is done will be done back to the person. This may seem like what people say, retribution and getting back something good, which you have done. Small little actions may cause great differences so in everything we do we must be cautious about it. Regarding the meaning of doing bad depends on who is the person who hears this word because different people have different perceptions on what is good and what is bad.
June Holidays Journal 1 Revenge
Blood flowed all over the floor and all Mixa could do was drowning himself in his tears. His beloved father had just been killed, or you can say murdered. Mixa kneeled in front of his father’s lifeless body, still crying uncontrollably. All came too sudden, too quickly, so fast that he did not have time to react. His father had been a kind man and generous too but whom would be that heartless to kill such a great man. He still could not get over the matter. He thought his father would be accompanying him at least throughout his teenage years but now all were gone, in just that split second. The same had happened to Mixa’s mother and now the same happened to his father. Mixa, stood right before his father, made a vow, to take revenge on his behalf no matter what it cost.
A rich couple adopted Mixa and he was well fed and dressed and not before long, he had forgotten everything about his true father’s death. He graduated from primary school and continued his studies to university. After that, he furthered his studies overseas, with the financial support of his “parents”. Then one day, he was studying in the hostel when suddenly, a scene ran through his mind. It was gruesome and the man in the picture was bleeding profusely. The man looked familiar, looked like someone whom he had seen before. Not before long, he remembered that man. He was the person, together with his wife, who had brought him to the world and who had gave him everything they had. He remembered one thing, he had made his oath of getting revenge back on the guy who did it on his father. Blood was boiling and the yearn for revenge was at its highest peak. From that day on, after finishing his studies, he used his free time to investigate into his father’s death but to no avail. Knowing that it would be impossible for him to find out who the murdered of his father was with his limited connections and resources, he decided to join the police force and at the same time track down the criminal. It had been 20 years since the murder but he remembered vividly the looks of the convict as he started to remember s0me parts of the happening.
With his academic qualifications, he rose up the ranks quickly and landed himself on one of the highest rankings in the force. This was the time. He now had all the data he needed near his reach. Within days he started to identify a few suspects and within a week, he had narrowed down his investigations to a man called Tan Teck Teeg, aged 46.Mixa was confident that this was the guy who stole away his happy family many years ago. Even though by claiming revenge will not bring his father back to life, he wanted that guy to pay dearly for it. In the next few days, he got ready himself for the operation. He had planned to take revenge at the guy in nighttime, the time of the day, which his father was murdered.
That long awaited day for Mixa arrived and he slot the accessories on, making sure that nothing would go wrong by going through the plan again. Having been in the police force for quite sometime, he knew inside out how they worked and did everything he can to avoid detection. After driving for about fifteen minutes, he got down and started to make his way towards the house of that man by foot. Donning himself in black from top to toe, he blended himself nicely into the starless night.
This is it. He had arrived outside the house of the man and his house was all dark and quite. He crept silently into the living room, making sure that his presence was not detected. He explored the house and made sure that all the loaded weapons in the house were unloaded. Right after that he made his way into the room in which the man sleeps. As he crawled in, he saw that someone was sleeping right beside him, his wife. Deep inside him he thought, “This would be the last night he would be spending with his wife.” Out came Mixa’s pistol, loaded with seven deadly bullets. Just as he was about to finish that man off. His eyes caught two children sleeping in between both the man and his wife. He told himself that he should not be distracted and have his operation hindered by his emotions but it got the better of him. It brought back old memories, which he had shared with his father and he suddenly realized that by finishing that man off for his revenge, the boy would suffer the same fate as he had. Even thought he had a mother to take care of him if he did so, the love that fathers give to their children would not be the same as the love that mothers give to their children.
Thinking of that, Mixa, laid down his weapon and headed out of the house and swore never to take revenge again as this would cause more unhappiness to others and he do not wish others to suffer like he did when he lost his father. If it is not for the couple who had adopted him, he would have been a beggar at the street now and not everybody who bears the same past as him would be that lucky. He laid the thought of revenge behind him and decided to get on with life, knowing that by taking revenge will not be able to solve the pain in his heart but by laying the past behind him will.
